Work description
Design of an heterogeneous storage system that leverages from different storage devices, including persistent memory, NVMe SSD, and SATA SSD; - Prototype implementation of the previous design, and corresponding integration with cloud-based applications (such as key-value stores); - Experimental evaluation of the developed prototype under synthetic and realistic workloads.
Academic Qualifications
- MSc Degree in Informatics Engineering.
Minimum profile required
- Solid knowledge on key-value stores (e.g., RocksDB);- Experience with persistent memory technologies (e.g., PMDK);- Solid knowledge on storage systems;- Solid knowledge on operating systems.
Preference factors
- Experience in the design and development of heterogeneous storage systems; - Experience with heterogeneous key-value store systems (e.g., MatrixKV, WaLSM, NoveLSM); - Experience with the C++ programming language.
