Work description
- Implementation of a key-value store system that leverages from different storage devices, including persistent memory, NVMe SSD, and SATA SSD; - Experimental evaluation of the developed prototype under synthetic and realistic workloads. The tasks described in this working plan demand the application and development of concepts and techniques in the área of Software Engineering which are usually introduced in curricular units included in the curricula of the Mestrados Integrados em Engenharia Informática or Mestrado em Engenharia Informática studies.
Academic Qualifications
BSc Degree in Informatics Engineering Sciences.
Minimum profile required
Solid knowledge on storage systems and storage tiering;Solid knowledge on operating systems;Solid knowledge on key-value stores (e.g., RocksDB).
Preference factors
Experience with the C++ programming language; Knowledge on the persistent memory technology.
