Work description
Propose a job scheduling algorithm for Spark with energy efficiency concerns; Implementation of the proposed solution in Spark or using a simulator; Writing a scientific paper on the proposed solution and its comparison with other existing algorithms. The tasks described in this work plan require the application and development of concepts and techniques in the area of Computer Engineering typically taught in curricular units that compose the core of the syllabus of Integrated Masters in Computer Engineering or Masters in Computer Engineering.
Academic Qualifications
BSc Degree in Informatics Engineering or similar.
Minimum profile required
Knowledge in distributed systems and Spark.
Preference factors
Experience evaluating tools in a distributed context.
