Work description
This work will start with a study on controlled data sharing methods in federated environments. Existing solutions will be tested for creating data spaces that align with the technical and governance definitions of IDSA, the Gaia-X standards, relevant European directives, and best practices defined by reference projects. The issues to address involve the architectural and technical definition of essential components for creating a decentralized data space that allows data sharing in an interoperable way, both at the model level and at the data transfer protocol level. Empirical studies will be used to explore and demonstrate the benefits of the proposed approach. A prototype will be developed in a lab environment and integrated into real use cases.
Academic Qualifications
Degree in Computer Engineering or a related field. Master's student in Computer Engineering or a related field.
Minimum profile required
- Knowledge of Software Engineering;- Knowledge of Computer Networks;- Knowledge of Distributed Systems;- Previous experience demonstrated in developing components for Data Spaces;- Demonstrated experience in a professional context.
Preference factors
- Experience in software development based on JavaScript (ReactJS, NodeJS) and Java; - Experience with using, integrating, and developing APIs; - Experience with Linux, Docker, and MongoDB technologies; - Experience with cloud technologies and deploying solutions on on-premise infrastructures;
