Work description
- design a data lake architecture for sensor data, weather station data, and images captured by smart traps (e.g. OGC SensorThings + MinIO). - propose and implement metadata and data quality mechanisms that enable the entire data universe to be aligned temporally and spatially. - evaluate and test the solution’s performance in terms of ingestion and query times, scalability with different data volumes, and ease of integration with artificial intelligence pipelines. - write the grant activity report.
Academic Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science or similar; - Student/attendee on a Master's Degree in Computer Science or similar;
Minimum profile required
- specialised education in Data Science, Data Mining or a related area;- experience with databases, such as SQL;- experience with the development of APIs;- knowledge of the Python programming language;- experience in UML design tools, such as Draw.io.
Preference factors
- experience in web technologies (HTML, CSS and Javascript); - experience with REST and WebSockets APIs; - experience with the databases PostgreSQL and RethinkDB; - proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
