Work description
Design of a storage system benchmarking tool that allows for the generation of more realistic workloads in terms of the content to be written. Implementation of a prototype that includes the new content generation features, as well as traditional features of these tools (e.g., different access patterns, operation types, request sizes). Evaluation of different storage solutions with the developed tool.
Academic Qualifications
BSC degree in Informatics Engineering or in a related field.
Minimum profile required
- Knowledge of operating systems and data storage systems;- Experience in developing storage benchmarking tools;- Knowledge of the C/C++ programming language.
Preference factors
- Knowledge of data compression and/or deduplication techniques.
