Work description
This grant is include in the NLP research line of Narrative extraction from texts. The work is done within a larger team which includes linguists from FLUP. The work will involve programming in python, choosing appropriate language models, retraining language models. Participation in the project opens perspectives for further work in NLP (BSc. curricular internship or MSc dissertation). The work can be done mostly online with meetings at FCUP and via zoom.
Academic Qualifications
Master's or postgraduate student in computer science, data science, engineering or related areas
Minimum profile required
A current average of 14/20 and no more than 1 overdue course from previous years..
Preference factors
- Excellent performance in programming, data analysis and artificial intelligence courses, - Previous experience in NLP projects or curricular assignments; - Autonomous attendance of online courses on NLP and Machine Learning; - Good knowledge of Portuguese; - A preference for the NLP field.
