Work description
- Collaborating with partners to assess real-world needs and objectives and develop actionable plans to drive research and engineering outcomes. - Mentoring software engineering researchers, including graduate and undergraduate students. - Communicating intermediate and final research results, including regular presentations and publication in conferences and journals. - Building connections with industry and other research groups both within and outside of INESC TEC.
Academic Qualifications
PhD in Informatics, Informatics Engineering
Minimum profile required
- A Ph.D. in Software Engineering or in a closely related discipline;- A proven record of articles published in peer-reviewed software engineering conferences and journals;- Experience conducting empirical studies in software engineering;- Solid understanding of software engineering in general, including Software Architecture, Object-Oriented Programming, teamwork, and managing scope and expectations in software projects.- Extensive experience with at least two of these topics: Microservices/Cloud-native Architectures, Architectural Evolution, DevOps, Infrastructure-as-Code, Agile Methods, Software Analytics, Developer Experience (DX) and Patterns.
Preference factors
- Experience in the health domain, cybersecurity, data quality, or data privacy.
