Work description

- To Develop scientific activity in the area of communications technologies, particularly in the modelling and characterisation of radio-frequency electronic devices, electro-optic devices and antennas, including flexible devices and those based in additive manufacturing, as well in the development of digital signal processing algorithms underlying the use of those devices, supporting radio, fibre-optic and wireless optical telecommunication systems. - To support the coordination and technical execution of R&D projects, including TERRAMETA, SUPERIOT, CONVERGE and PLURIANUAL LA projects. - To develop scientific activity oriented towards publication in international journals and conferences, mentoring of junior researchers, as well as coordination and participation in initiatives of scientific and technological dissemination. - To carry out R&D projects, including coordination and management activities, support for the valorisation of knowledge and research results generated in the course of the activity and exploitation of intellectual property.

Academic Qualifications

PhD in electrical and computer engineering

Minimum profile required

Post-doctoral research experience compatible with the junior researcher category. Minimum of three publications in international journals with Q1 in Scopus. Previous experience in the implementation of international research projects in the area of communications technologies.

Preference factors

Previous experience in the guidance of junior researchers, as participation in scientific and technological dissemination initiatives.
