Work description

Design of a Slurm plugin to generate reports containing energy consumption as well as job scheduling algorithms that take into account the ecological footprint of jobs, including information when machines are being powered by renewable energy sources. Development of a prototype and experimental evaluation of it. The tasks described in this work plan require the application and development of concepts and techniques in the area of Computer Engineering typically taught in curricular units that compose the core of the syllabus of Integrated Masters in Computer Engineering or Masters in Computer Engineering.
