Workshop on Data Analysis organised by INESC TEC

Ricardo Campos, collaborator at INESC TEC’s Artificial Intelligence and Decision Support Laboratory (LIAAD), co-organised the workshop “User Interfaces for Spatial and Temporal Data Analysis – UISTDA”, which was held on 20 March in Los Angeles, United States of America.

This initiative aimed at sharing the latest advances and developments in the data analysis area, as well as presenting challenges and potential applications in the exploration of large quantities of data, both in the spacial and temporal field.

Around 20 researchers participated in this second edition of the workshop, which had a lecture on “Location-based Information Retrieval and Analysis”, presented by Kazutoshi Sumiya and also the presentation of four research papers.

UISTDA is held in conjunction with the “24th International Conference on Intelligent User Interfaces” (ACM IUI 2019), an annual meeting of the community of intelligent interfaces, which serves as an important international forum for communicating research and developments on this type of devices.
