INESC TEC was on the Ocean Business 2018

Under the TEC4SEA initiative, INESC TEC participated in another edition of the Ocean Business, an international event related to the Maritime Economy sector, which took place between 18 and 20 September at the Alcântara Maritime Station, in Lisbon.

Through INESC TEC’s Industry Partnership Service (SAPE), it was possible to re-establish contact with existing partners and to present some of the technologies in development in the institution and their impact in the Maritime Economy.

This activity, which was organised by the Ministry of the Sea (Sea Policy Directorate General) in collaboration with the Fórum Oceano – Association of Maritime Economy, aimed to promote an area for debate and networking on sustainable solutions for issues related to the ocean. The activities of the event focused especially on the “green shipping” theme, including areas such as the oceanic engineering, the maritime digitalisation, the ocean robotics, the environmental monitoring and protection and the maritime safety.
