INESC TEC promotes seminar on Security

Ana Sequeira, Hélder Castro and Jaime Dias, researchers at INESC TEC’s Telecommunications and Multimedia Unit (UTM), have promoted a seminar on Security on 13 July. The aim was to discuss work from different Units in this area and try to adjust them to the European Call on Security (FP7-SEC-2013-1).

Other than the UTM, members of the Information and Computer Graphics Systems (USIG), of the Center for Research in Advanced Computing Systems (CRACS) and of the High Assurance Software Laboratory (HASLab) were also represented at the meeting.

After presentations from the Unit representatives (António Gaspar of USIG, Manuel Eduardo Correia and Luís Antunes of CRACS, José Bacelar Almeida of HASLab, Henrique Salgado, Jaime Dias, Jaime Cardoso and Hélder Castro of UTM), there was a debate session where the aim was to find possible interest in submitting applications to projects in this area. Following the discussion, it was possible to observe that some members were interested in exploring some security-related areas, namely surveillance and digital identity.
