Science Café: “Sustainability in Robotics” - pre-event for the European Researchers’ Night
Register here by September 15.
In a relaxed and interactive setting, INESC TEC researchers will explore three innovative applications developed by the Institute, demonstrating how technology can protect our planet:
Precision agriculture - robots and smart sensors that help save water and reduce pesticides, making agriculture more environmentally friendly.
Textile recycling with computer vision - hyperspectral cameras and AI to identify fabrics and separate fibres accurately, favouring recycling processes.
Smart dismantling of electronics - robotics for dismantling end-of-life equipment and recovering rare metals, fostering a circular economy.
In addition to the presentations, participants will also have the chance to watch live demonstrations of technologies, bringing science closer to everyday life and showcasing the work carried out at INESC TEC.
The pre-events for the European Researchers’ Night are open to everyone, focusing on young students who have an interest in science and want to learn more about research activities in Portugal - this initiative is an opportunity to bring science closer to society.
