This year INESC TEC is organizing the 33rd IAMOT Conference in Porto, Portugal, from 8-11 July, where we will explore the challenges and opportunities defining contemporary social and business environments. As critical issues in social, health, humanitarian, political, and economic spheres emerge, we are called to find effective, creative, and innovative solutions.

IAMOT 2024 will provide a platform for sharing groundbreaking concepts, focusing on how technology can support new approaches to current issues. Embracing the principles of Industry 5.0, we advocate for a human-centered approach where technology enhances productivity while respecting workers' rights to privacy, autonomy, and dignity. Our aim is to reposition the human factor at the core of the manufacturing industry.

Moreover, we recognize technology's potential in promoting environmental and social sustainability, from developing circular value chains to reducing CO2 emissions and enhancing supply chain transparency.
