Abstract
The deviation of the demand levels of the modern LV distribution systems due to the more loads and distributed generations connected in the same grid leads to the loss of acceptable quality of voltage. These voltage quality problems occur in case of the high difference between the power of the loads and distributed generations in the same area. Accordingly, the high loading conditions lead to the bus voltage decrease while the bus voltage increment occurs in scenarios with the excess of generation. In this condition, the successful voltage stabilization in MV/LV substation can effectively suppress the deviations of the grid voltage values and increase the hosting capacity of the network. There are different custom power devices introduced in the literature which can provide the stabilization of voltage in the grids. In this paper, among the available tools, the application of Open-UPQC is examined in hosting capacity improvement maintaining a desired power quality level; this capability is provided through the successful voltage regulation in the different probable high/low loading scenarios in the grid. According to the results, while the uncoordinated operation of the series and shunt devices does not have the capability of stabilization of the base grid, the Open-UPQC has successfully maintained the voltage profile inside the limits in both the base case and in the presence of high load and PV penetration levels. It should be emphasized that the services of the Open-UPQC are provided in an economical and effective way making the solution strategy applicable in real-world cases. © 2023 IEEE.

Abstract
Virtual Power Plants (VPPs) are one of the concepts introduced in modern power systems to handle the increasing number of the distributed generation (DG) units. Technical VPPs (TVPPs) consider both financial and technical perspectives of using DGs in the system. Besides, secure and reliable operation of the system is a priority. In this paper, optimal operation of technical virtual power plants in a reconfigurable network is formulated as an optimization problem to resolve the probable contingency problem in the lines of the system. The VPP is assumed to be a multi-carrier energy system including combined heat and power (CHP), renewable DGs and dispatchable DGs beside thermal and electrical storage systems and loads. The uncertainties of renewable based DGs and demand levels are handled using chance constrained programming (CCP). By using CCP in presence of uncertain parameters, the security of the system can be guaranteed in predefined level of probability. Finally, to evaluate the effectiveness, quality and applicability of the proposed methodology, the problem is structured as a mixed-integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) problem which is solved using General Algebraic Modeling System (GAMS) software via Baron solver.

Abstract
The services supporting the websites, both public and private entities, may support security protocols such as HTTPS or DNSSEC. Public and private entities have a responsibility to ensure the security of their online platforms. Entities in the public domain such as city councils provide their services through their websites. However, each city council has its systems, configurations, and IT teams, and this means they have different standings regarding the security protocols supported. This paper analyzes the status of security protocols on Portuguese city council websites, specifically HTTPS and DNSSEC. The study evaluated 308 city council websites using a script developed for the research, and data was collected from the website of Direcao Geral das Autarquias Locais (DGAL) on December 14, 2022, and the websites were scanned on December 22, 2022. The results of this assessment reveal that around 97% of city council websites use RSA as their encryption algorithm and around 84% use 2048-bit length keys for digital certificate signing. Furthermore, about 53% of the city council websites are still supporting outdated and potentially insecure SSL/TLS versions, and around 95% of the councils are not implementing DNSSEC in their domains. These results highlight potential areas for improvement in cybersecurity measures and can serve as a baseline to track progress toward improving cybersecurity maturity in Portuguese city councils.

COMPUTER APPLICATIONS IN ENGINEERING EDUCATION

Abstract
Augmented reality (AR) is a field of knowledge being developed since the middle of the last century. Its use has been spreading because of its usefulness, but more recently because of mobile platforms being widespread and accessible. AR has been applied in several fields of activity, and also in the field of Education and Training, because AR has several advantages over other teaching methods. In this paper, we search and analyze surveys and reviews of AR to present a brief history and its definition. We also present a classification of our sample under a scheme we developed in past work, and present also examples of technologies and applications of AR in each field. Finally, we do a deeper analysis over the publications of Education and Training, advantages and issues of AR in this field, and some research trends.

Abstract
Human motion analysis has seen drastic improvements recently, however, due to the lack of representative datasets, for clinical in-bed scenarios it is still lagging behind. To address this issue, we implemented BlanketGen, a pipeline that augments videos with synthetic blanket occlusions. With this pipeline, we generated an augmented version of the pose estimation dataset 3DPW called BlanketGen3DPW. We then used this new dataset to fine-tune a Deep Learning model to improve its performance in these scenarios with promising results. Abstract
Currently, there is increasing implementation of renewable energy communities, where consumers and producers come together to form energy cooperatives. This growing trend has been accompanied by several studies aiming to optimize energy exchanges and sharing inside the community, always taking into account the most favorable tariff regimes for community members. This paper presents an analysis that, based on applying a linear programming model, optimizes energy transactions in a renewable energy community with the integration of storage systems. The results show the developed model's effectiveness, presenting substantial profits for the community.
