Abstract
This paper presents assumptions concerning the computer program LPS 2008 developed in Visual Basic by the authors. This program was specially designed for protection of wind power plants, but is enough general to be applied to other structures and services. The program runs over AutoCAD and performs risk assessment on a structure or on a service due to lightning flashes to earth. Our program is a three dimensional one and is based on the Rolling Sphere Method. LPS 2008 marks the vulnerable points on a structure, taking into account the most recent international standards.

Abstract
Many music works produced in the last century still exist only as original manuscripts or as photocopies. Preserving them entails their digitalization and consequent accessibility in a digital format easy-to-manage which encourages browsing, retrieval, search and analysis while providing a generalized access to the digital material. The manual process to carry out this task is very time consuming and error prone. Automatic optical music recognition (OMR) has emerged as a partial solution to this problem. However, the full potential of this process only reveals itself when integrated in a system that provides seamless access to browsing, retrieval, search and analysis. We address this demand by proposing a modular, flexible and scalable framework that fully integrates the abovementioned functionalities. A web based system to carry out the automatic recognition process, allowing the creation and management of a music corpus, while providing generalized access to it, is a unique and innovative approach to the problem. A prototype has been implemented and is being used as a test platform for OMR algorithms.

Abstract
Token-passing nets were proposed by Sinot as a simple mechanism for encoding evaluation strategies for the ?-calculus in interaction nets. This work extends token-passing nets to cover a typed functional language equipped with structured types and unrestricted recursion. The resulting interaction system is derived systematically from the chosen big-step operational semantics. Along the way, we actually characterize and discuss several design decisions of token-passing nets and extend them in order to achieve simpler interaction net systems with a higher degree of embedded parallelism.

MATHEMATICAL AND COMPUTER MODELLING

Abstract
The consequences of regulatory T cell (Treg) inhibition of interleukine 2 secretion are examined by mathematical modelling. We demonstrate that cytokine dependent growth exhibits quorum T cell population thresholds that determine whether immune responses develop on activation and whether the immune system returns to a control state. We study the effects in the quorum T cell population thresholds, by the T cell maximum growth rate, by the growth rate ratio between Tregs and T cells, by the value of the secretion rate of cytokines, and by the effectiveness of T cell secretion inhibition by Tregs.

Abstract
The concept of microgrid (mu Grid) has been emerging as a way to integrate microgeneration (mu G) in low-voltage (LV) networks and simultaneously improve its potential benefits. Technical requirements to connect mu grids to LV networks have been studied in order to make this concept technologically feasible and safe to operate. However, the regulatory framework for economic integration of mu G and mu Grids on distribution systems, despite being crucial, is still an open issue. The main purpose of this paper is to contribute for the development of an appropriate economic regulation framework that removes the barriers to mu G and mu Grid development. To do so, the relevant costs and benefits resulting from the establishment of mu G and mu Grid are identified and a methodology for sharing those costs and benefits among the involved economic agents is presented. The only prerequisite of such a methodology is the existence of a net benefit to all economic agents.
