Abstract
This article describes a complete system prototype to be used in aesthetic mesotherapy. The system is composed by two main blocks: a Master block, whose chief component is a CPU, which provides the user interface and a Slave block, implemented with a micro controller and a wave generator, which produces the appropriated voltages and currents compatible with the mesotherapy treatments. The whole system is powered by a 12V power supply and the output signal has a voltage that range between -54 V and 54 V. The output signal is composed by the overlap of two frequencies: the first one is selected in the range from 1.2 kHz to 1.8 kHz and the second one is in the range from 0.07 Hz to 2 Hz. The system is being tested in clinical environment with real patients showing very good promising results.

Abstract
The World Wide Web technology, supported on Internet, is transforming all business activities into information-based activities. As a result, one can see a radical change in the traditional theoretical models and organisation. The small and medium enterprises (SME) are the type of enterprises that can reap more advantages with the usage of Internet for electronic business. We found that current methodologies present gaps which make them inadequate and unable to help the small and medium enterprises define an effective strategy and follow an plausible implementation path. This being so, we propose a methodology to support the complete implementation lifecycle of electronic business in small and medium enterprises. © IFIP International Federation for Information Processing 2009.

Abstract
The most common cause of traffic accidents is arguably the driver error due to lack of attention. And it is very unlikely this is going to change soon thanks to increasingly cell-phone usage, in-car entertainment systems, and naturally the more frequent traffic jams in highly populated areas. Autonomous vehicles, such as driverless cars, are a promising approach to decrease traffic accidents, as well as congestions. To test this approach, simulations are a safer, more efficient, and cheaper way than live testing. This paper presents an approach to implement a simulator to test such vehicles. It includes a study of the state of the art in driverless car simulation and discusses on the specific objectives that this particular simulator aims to achieve in order to aid testing the interactions of multiple driverless cars in urban networks.

Abstract
The propagation of bound soliton pairs in nonlinear photonic crystal fibers has recently been experimentally observed. The system may be modeled by a generalized nonlinear Schrodinger equation (GNLSE) which includes higher intrapulse Raman Scattering, self-steepening and higher order dispersion. Here, we find multihumped pulses as result of an accelerating similarity reduction of a GNLSE containing the intrapulse Raman scattering. Numerical simulations of the suitable GNLSE using these solutions as input showed that they are not stable, however, they may be related with the experimentally observed bound pairs since they propagate steadily for distances compared to the ones observed.

Abstract
A Fabry-Perot refractometer based on the suspended core fibre is presented. The Fabry-Perot cavities are formed by a section of suspended core fibre between conventional single-mode fibres. This miniature refractive tip sensor is demonstrated for the measurement of the refractive index change by measuring the fringe visibility and through the analysis of the fast Fourier transform.
