Abstract
Distributed energy resources (DERs) change the supply-demand balance of power systems. To better manage these resources, they are operated as micro-grids (MGs) in both grid-connected and standalone modes. In the presence of MGs, the decision making framework in power systems is changing from the centralized structure into the decentralized one. In such framework, modeling the operation problem of MGs with the participation in energy and reserve markets in the presence of uncertainties is considered as an important challenge. Most of the studies use probability distribution functions (PDFs) to model the uncertain parameters. In this paper, the operation problem of a grid-connected MG is modeled while the MG operator (MGO) faces with uncertainties of renewable energy sources (RESs) without considering their PDFs. For this purpose, an information gap decision theory (IGDT)-based approach is employed to model the uncertain behavior of RESs as well as to control the risk level of the MGO on the optimal scheduling of DERs. To investigate the effectiveness of the model, a modified 15-bus low voltage MG us used as a test system. The results show that optimal decisions of the risk-averse MGO are different from those of a risky one. © 2019 IEEE.

Abstract
Autonomous underwater vehicles are applied in diverse fields, namely in tasks that are risky for human beings to perform, as optical inspection for the purpose of structures quality control. Optical sensors are more appealing cost and they supply a larger quantity of data. Lasers can be used to reconstruct structures in three dimensions, along with cameras, which create a faithful representation of the environment. However, in this context a visual approach was used and the paper presents a method that can put together the three-dimensional information that has been harvested over time, combining also RGB information for surface reconstruction. The map construction follows the motion estimated by a odometry method previously selected from the literature. Experiments conducted using real scenario show that the proposed solution is able to provide a reliable map for objects and even the seafloor.

Abstract
Hub Location Problems are complex combinatorial optimization problems that raised a lot of interest in the literature and have a huge number of practical applications, going from the telecommunications, airline transportation among others. In this paper we propose a primal-dual algorithm to solve the Uncapacitated Multiple Allocation Hub Location Problem (UMAHLP). RAMP algorithm combines information of traditional Dual Ascent procedure on the dual side with an improvement method on the primal side, together with adaptive memory structures. The overall performance of the proposed algorithm was tested on standard Australian Post (AP) and Civil Aeronautics Boarding (CAB) instances, comprising 192 test instances. The effectiveness of our approach has been proven by comparing with other state-of-the-art algorithms. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2019.

RENEWABLE & SUSTAINABLE ENERGY REVIEWS

Abstract
The advent of more proactive consumers, the so-called "prosumers", with production and storage capabilities, is empowering the consumers and bringing new opportunities and challenges to the operation of power systems in a market environment. Recently, a novel proposal for the design and operation of electricity markets has emerged: these so-called peer-to-peer (P2P) electricity markets conceptually allow the prosumers to directly share their electrical energy and investment. Such P2P markets rely on a consumer-centric and bottom-up perspective by giving the opportunity to consumers to freely choose the way they buy their electric energy. A community can also be formed by prosumers who want to collaborate, or in terms of operational energy management. This paper contributes with an overview of these new P2P markets that starts with the motivation, challenges, market designs moving to the potential future developments in this field, providing recommendations while considering a test-case.

ADVANCES IN MANUFACTURING II, VOL 1 - SOLUTIONS FOR INDUSTRY 4.0

Abstract
Today's manufacturing environment is increasingly pressured to higher flexibility induced by uncertain production volumes as well as uncertain product lifetime. A way to improve productivity in a flexible production system is by using a safe and flexible cooperation between robot and operator. Therefore, manufacturing companies are experiencing an increase in human-robot interactions and in the use of collaborative robots (cobots). To make full use of cobots, it is essential to understand the drivers for their adoption as well as how these drivers are aligned with the companies' strategic objectives. By means of in-depth interviews in six companies in Portugal and France, this study provides a comprehensive understanding of the drivers that influence the intent to adopt, or the effective adoption, of cobots and the alignment of these drivers with the strategic objectives of the company. Empirical results reveal "operational efficiency" and "ergonomics and human factors" concerns as important drivers in the adoption intent. In terms of strategic objectives, it was found that drivers are aligned with productivity and flexibility improvement as well as quality improvement strategic objectives. Understanding these drivers can help in motivating manufacturing companies to adopt cobots, in facilitating their adoption, and in reaping the benefits of this technology.
