Abstract
Automatic speaker identification typically relies on sophisticated statistical modeling and classification which requires large amounts of data for good performance. However, in actual audio forensics casework, frequently only a few seconds of speech material are available. In this paper, we favor diversity in feature extraction, simple modeling and classification, and constructive combination of congruent classification scores. We use phase, spectral magnitude and F0-related features in speaker identification experiments on a database of 35 speakers most of whom are twins. Using only 4.4 sec. of vowel-like sounds per speaker, we characterize the performance that is reached with individual features and we characterize simple and yet effective ways of classification score fusion. Insights for further research are also presented.

12TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF EDUCATION, RESEARCH AND INNOVATION (ICERI2019)
Abstract
Technology can help participants develop basic skills but also improve students learning, since it can be more accessible, giving the opportunity to experience new knowledge. Therefore, it seems relevant an in-depth study on teaching methods implemented with students with special education needs (SEN) to describe different methodologies. For that, in this paper it is presented the analysis on teaching strategies to help learning of specific content for students with intellectual disabilities (ID). The purpose is to describe strategies used in traditional and technology-based education to be the starting point in the development of an effective learning multimedia resource for this specific audience. Overall, were found advantages in the use of technologies as a teaching resource for students with and without special SEN, specifically for students with ID. Studies showed that attention and motivation increase and students feel more stimulated to learn when the syllabus is presented more interactively. Another important finding is that educational games as educational resource can indeed be a valid strategy to retain attention and stimulate memory of students with intellectual disabilities. Finally, with these findings it is proposed features to develop a multimedia application that can enhance learning of a new language for students with ID.

INTERNATIONAL TRANSACTIONS ON ELECTRICAL ENERGY SYSTEMS
Abstract
This paper presents an optimization framework to determine the optimal operating points of combined heat and power (CHP) units with nonlinear, nonconvex feasible operating region (FOR). The mentioned problem is the economic dispatch (ED) of heat-only units, thermal units, and CHP units. Also, the electric units are of thermal technology while their valve-point impact is taken into consideration. Also, the heat power curve of heat-only units is nonlinear. It is noted that the FOR of CHP units has been defined both as convex and nonconvex regions. For those with nonconvex characteristic, a method is proposed to convert it into a convex characteristic. Accordingly, a separate binary variable must be defined to determine the optimal operating point in each convex region. Thus, the presented problem in this paper is of mixed-integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) type modeled in General Algebraic Modeling System (GAMS) software. In this respect, different case studies have been presented to assess the optimality, feasibility, and the flexibility of the model. It is noteworthy that the valve-point effect of thermal units and different FORs of CHP units as well as the electrical power losses have been considered. © 2018 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Abstract
Many countries today are attempting to move into digital transformation to try to improve the efficiency of Government activities and reduce unnecessary costs. This is how the concept of the Digital Government has come to the fore. All agree on the need to guarantee the quality of digitalized services that are provided to the taxpayer. Based on this scenario, this work adapts a validation process for digitalized services, providing a systematic way for test case generation, to guarantee the quality of software products delivered to the public. Amongst the challenges met in this research work, we highlight the lack of requirements for the services analyzed and the impossibility of accessing their source code, which requires a black-box testing process. We observed, based on the results, that the adapted process allowed the validation activity to be done efficiently and systematically, given the peculiarities of the context involved. We report the experience gained after the use of the adapted test process when compared to the previous ad-hoc testing process. Moreover, based on our experience, we identified a subset of tours from exploratory testing more suitable to test web based services, considering the restrictions we have, for improving the quality in the process of digital transformation. Other lessons learned are also presented and we think the results can be useful for testing systems with similar constraints.

Abstract
The lack of physical activity and poor nutrition triggers various diseases, among them is diabetes. In this context, several researches seek ways that can mitigate these diseases to provide a better quality of life for people. Therefore, the present work aims to analyze the possible inhibitors of the enzyme Dipeptidil Peptidase 4 that hypotheses will be stipulated for the creation of new drugs through molecular docking techniques, that is, a computational simulation of combinations of drugs of the family of gliptins with other antidiabetics (metformin, glyburide and cucurbitacin). Among the results, it was observed that the antidiabetic cucurbitacin combined with the gliptines obtained greater energy during the process.
