BREAST CANCER RESEARCH AND TREATMENT

Abstract
During the Turning Subjective Into Objective seminar held in Lisbon in May 2011, experts in the topic gathered to discuss the unsolved problems of aesthetic evaluation of breast-conserving treatment (BCT). The purpose of this study is to review the main methodological issues related to the aesthetic evaluation of BCT, to discuss currently used methods of evaluation and the lack of a gold standard, and to write a set of recommendations that can be used as guidance for the aesthetic evaluation of BCT.

Abstract
This paper proposes an optimization model based on a centralized dispatch to analyze the impact of plug-in electric vehicles (PEV) penetration on the Spanish electricity demand and price. Different charging strategies, from the plug-and-charge strategy to the smartest vehicle-to-grid (V2G) capabilities, have been simulated and compared with the non PEV scenario, under different penetration values. Traditional generation resources have been represented with technical aspects such as ramps and minimum loads. Hydraulic resources management is also partially supported but limited to weekly management. Distribution network constraints and how they could limit the contribution of PEV to the grid services have been neglected. The model considers both load and reserve requirements to evaluate the PEV contribution to energy production or consumption, but also to secondary reserve regulation. Interesting results comparing the different simulation scenarios are discussed in the case examples. © 2012 IEEE.

JOURNAL OF SERVICE MANAGEMENT

Abstract
Purpose - Customer experience has become increasingly important for service organizations that see it as a source of sustainable competitive advantage, and for service designers, who consider it fundamental to any service design project. Design/methodology/approach - Integrating contributions from different fields, CEM was conceptually developed to represent the different aspects of customer experience in a holistic diagrammatic representation. CEM was further developed with an application to a multimedia service. To further develop and build CEM's models, 17 customers of a multimedia service provider were interviewed and the data were analyzed using Grounded Theory methodology. Findings - Combining multidisciplinary contributions to represent customer experience elements enables the systematization of its complex information. The application to a multimedia service highlights how CEM can facilitate the work of multidisciplinary design teams by providing more insightful inputs to service design. Originality/value - CEM supports the holistic nature of customer experience, providing a systematic portrayal of its context and shifting the focus from single experience elements to their orchestration.

Abstract
In this paper we present an universal methodology for finding all the occurrences of a given set of subgraphs in one single larger graph. Past approaches would either enumerate all possible subgraphs of a certain size or query a single subgraph. We use g-tries, a data structure specialized in dealing with subgraph sets. G-Tries store the topological information on a tree that exposes common substructure. Using a specialized canonical form and symmetry breaking conditions, a single non-redundant search of the entire set of subgraphs is possible. We give results of applying g-tries querying to different social networks, showing that we can efficiently find the occurrences of a set containing subgraphs of multiple sizes, outperforming previous methods.
