Abstract
In this poster, we are addressing the topic of "system's evaluation" from the point of view of assessing the usability of a gamified experience with 20 teenagers aged 15-17 years. The currently tested experience was ideally designed for children 9-10 years. In order to adapt the application to teenagers, we tested it with 20 targeted users. In this poster, we share the results and encourage a discussion among the researchers about how to adapt the gamified experience designed for children to a teenage audience.

Abstract
Charging performance of Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) under various charging approaches brings new challenges for the distribution grid, such as feeder overloading and increment of loss. In this paper, the impact of charging PHEVs on the load profile is evaluated considering Demand Response (DR) programs in order to minimize the impact of charging PHEVs on load profile. In the proposed DR strategy, all consumers can determine and control their loads. Also, the proposed DR strategy can satisfy the function of reducing peak with regard to different PHEV penetration, while preserving consumer comfort levels. For performing DR programs, time of use and real time pricing models are used to evaluate the impacts of charging of PHEVs on distribution system operations. A 33-node test feeder has been studied to assess different penetration schemes of PHEVs including 11.3%, 35% and 45% PHEV penetration in residential loads. Moreover, uncertainties associated with PHEV charging performances are handled with Monte Carlo simulation. Results validate that the amount of peak loss, and Peak to Average Ratio (PAR) increase owing to PHEVs penetration growth. Also, the results illustrate that scheduling for the operation of PHEVs with DR program reduces the distribution losses and PAR.

Abstract
While lecturers who gave their testimonials to us admit that workloads in academia are extremely high they still accept to direct study cycles without receiving extra pay or any apparent benefits, besides added status and prestige. Similarly, students surveyed (n=69) also want to do socially responsible activity when they become executives, even though this may go against their evaluation (as profit maximizers) by shareholders. Is society and academia in particular becoming more altruistic? One might say that social responsibility is no longer an option, that informed consumers are looking to buy from socially responsible enterprises. One might also assume that in academia, which is a very hierarchical environment, that individuals initiating careers in academia are not in a position to decline invitations to coordinate study cycles. We do also, however, with our study, see evidence of something beyond the above more authoritarian reasons for wanting to do good in society. Individuals may genuinely want to contribute as more basic needs are increasingly fulfilled and individuals seek a higher and more worthwhile purpose in life. When asked whether social responsibility is a question of marketing, a number of students were divided on this issue. Just under one third answered neutrally, and over half answered neutral or disagreeing. The sample of students is interested in social responsibility - with over three quarters revealing a strong connection with social responsibility activity. Firms should not only seek profit, our students stated in majority, though seeking a profit is not seen by the majority to be a sign of being wicked. Previous studies on human motivation have emphasized how, in more advanced societies, needs follow a hierarchy and at the highest level one will find worthwhile accomplishment. What is novel is that this worthwhile accomplishment is not linked to material success but to wanting to do good in society. Further in-depth research is necessary into such change in society, towards a softer stance than that advocated by Milton Friedman in the 1970s, in his landmark paper defending that profit is the social responsibility of firms and that executives know nothing about solving the poverty problem or unemployment or inflation and so should stay away from seeking to solve these problems (rather, leave that to civil servants). We have found that change is upon us and that millennials want to play an active role in solving society's woes, so more research in this area is necessary to quantify the change and its effects.

Abstract
The multirotor UAVs are being integrated into a wide range of application scenarios due to maneuverability in 3D, versatility and reasonable payload of sensors. One of the application scenarios is the inspection of structures where the human intervention is difficult or unsafe and the UAV can provide an improvement of the collected data. At the same time introduce challenges due to low altitude missions and also the fact of being manually operated without line of sight. In order to overcome these issues, this paper presents a LiDAR-based realtime collision avoidance algorithm, denoted by Escape Elliptical Search Point with the ability to be integrated into autonomous and manned modes of operation. The algorithm was validated in a simulation environment developed in Gazebo and also in a mixed environment composed by a real robot in an outdoor scenario and simulated obstacle and LiDAR.

Abstract
This paper proposes a mathematical model and two heuristic procedures to solve the cutting stock problem with usable leftovers, relating the implications of the model with aspects considering sustainability in terms of environmental, economic and social issues. The possibility of generating leftovers that can be used or sold, reduces raw material waste during the cutting process and, consequently, increases companies’ profits. By reducing waste and increasing profits, companies can become more competitive in the market. They can also integrate environmental aspects into their operational strategies and, therefore, create a better self-image and profitability, generating more jobs and contributing to a stronger local economy. We believe that the model is more likely to be adopted by smaller companies, which generally face numerous barriers but at the same time have a significant social impact, generating income and jobs. Based on the knowledge of the authors, this is the first study that relates a cutting problem with its implications for sustainability. Computational tests were performed, and the obtained results are discussed considering the win-win approach to sustainability.

Abstract
The integration of renewable energy sources (RESs) cannot be postponed given the several techno-economic and environmental factors. However, the intermittent nature of RESs brings several challenges because such sources introduce significant operational variability and uncertainty in the system. Framed in this context a new stochastic mathematical planning model is proposed considering the placement and sizing of energy storage systems and reactive power sources that altogether enable high penetration of RESs. The model employs a linearized AC model, balancing well accuracy with computational burden. The model is tested on a standard distribution network system. Numerical results show that the simultaneous integration of energy storage systems and reactive power sources largely leads to a substantially increased penetration of RESs in distribution systems. Furthermore, dramatic reductions in losses, system costs and emissions are observed. Results analysis also reveal the positive contribution of such a planning on the overall voltage stability in the system.
