Abstract
In order to study the behavior and performance of a robot, building its simulation model is crucial. Realistic simulation tools using physics engines enable faster, more accurate and realistic testing conditions, without depending on the real vehicle. By combining legged and wheeled locomotion, hybrid vehicles are specially useful for operating in different types of terrains, both indoors and outdoors. They present increased mobility, versatility and adaptability, as well as easier maneuverability, when compared to vehicles using only one of the mechanisms. This paper presents the realistic simulation through the SimTwo simulator software of a hybrid legged-wheeled robot. It has four 3-DOF (degrees of freedom) legs combining rigid and non-rigid joints and has been fully designed, tested and validated in the simulated environment with incorporated dynamics.

Abstract
Robotics competitions are environments that foster teamwork, AI, and technology development by encouraging students, researchers, and academics to test their solutions against each other. These competitions often challenge the competitors' prototypes with tasks specifically designed to benchmark them with the current optimal solutions. During the prototype stages of a robot, the development costs and time spent are often higher than other stages, as changes in the prototype are frequent. Simulation is often used to reduce these variables as it allows flexibility in all development stages before transitioning to the real scenario. However, a digital twin can be used to increase even further flexibility and effectiveness. Digital twins are virtual representations of real assets, providing replication and prediction of real scenario events, and real-time monitoring of the real object. Thus, this paper presents the development of a digital twin of an automatic guided vehicle (AGV) to the Robot@Factory Lite competition and the tests performed to validate the approach.

Abstract
The lack of general robotics purposed, accurate open source simulators is a major setback that limits the optimized trajectory generation research and general evolution of the robotics field. Spray painting is a particular case that has multiple advantages in using a simulator for exploring new algorithms, mainly the waste of materials and the dangers associated with a robotic manipulator. This paper demonstrates an implementation of spray painting on a previously existing simulator, SimTwo. Several metrics for optimization that evaluate the painted result are also proposed. In order to validate the implementation, we conducted a real world experiment that serves both as proof that the chosen spray distribution model translates to reality and as a way to calibrate the model parameters.

Abstract
The ability to locate a robot is one of the main features to be truly autonomous. Different methodologies can be used to determine robots location as accurately as possible, however these methodologies present several problems in some circumstances. One of these problems is the existence of uncertainty in the sensing of the robot. To solve this problem, it is necessary to combine the uncertain information correctly. In this way, it is possible to have a system that allows a more robust localization of the robot, more tolerant to failures and disturbances. This paper evaluates an Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) that fuses odometry information with Ultra-WideBand Time-of-Flight (UWB ToF) measurements and camera measurements from the detection of ArUco markers in the environment. The proposed system is validated in a real environment with a differential robot developed for this purpose, and the achieved results are promising.

Abstract
The industry tends to increasingly automate as many processes as possible, and to make this possible, they often resort to the use of robotic arms. This paper presents the development of a proposal for a modular joint for robotic arms that allows: to obtain the best possible torque/weight ratio; to be controlled in speed and/or position; to communicate with other joints and external microcontrollers; to keep the cost as low as possible; and to be easily reconfigurable. The proposed prototype was validated with real results.

Abstract
Nowadays, a laboratory operator in the areas of chemistry, biology or medicine spends considerable time performing micropipetting procedures, a common, monotonous and repetitive task which compromises the ergonomics of individuals, namely related to wrist musculoskeletal disorders. In this work, the design of a kinesthetic teaching approach for automating the micropipetting technique is presented, allowing to redirect the operator to other non-repetitive tasks, aiming to reduce the exposure to ergonomic risks. The proposed robotic solution has an innovative gripping system capable of supporting, actuating and regulating the volume of a manual micropipette. The system is able to configure the position of diverse laboratory materials, such as lab containers and plates, on the workbench through a collaborative robotic arm, providing flexibility to adapt to different procedures. A projected human-machine interface, which combines the display of information on the workbench with an infrared based interaction device was developed, providing a more intuitive interaction between the operator and the system during the configuration and operation phases. In contrast to the majority of the existing liquid handling systems, the proposed system allows the operator to place the materials freely on the workbench and the usage of different materials' variants, facilitating the implementation of the system in any laboratory. The attained performance and ease of use of the system were very encouraging since all the defined tasks in the conducted experiments were successfully performed by users with minimum training, highlighting its potential inclusion in the laboratory routine panorama.
