Abstract
This paper analyses the relationship among marginal costs per power plant, fossil fuel prices and electricity bidding quantities in the Spanish electricity market. The results of the panel cointegration and Granger causality methods clearly indicate a differential impact of fossil fuel prices on power plants marginal costs, with a positive effect for gas power plants. The biggest negative impact on marginal costs is seen for coal technology. As a consequence of the characteristics of different production technologies, the set of marginal costs across the sample is based on coal power plants, although Endesa and Iberdrola's marginal costs are predominantly based on gas power plants. Operating costs for hydroelectric power plants are very low when compared to the thermal power plants, which is the base technology used by Endesa, since this technology is strongly dependent on the volatility of commodity markets and on the supply chain and production costs management. JOURNAL OF BUSINESS ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT

Abstract
This paper investigates if the existence of complex structures plays an important role in corporate governance. It uses GMM estimation on a panel of Western European firms. We find that the presence of a second and third large shareholder has a significant positive effect on firm value. This study underlines the importance of the number of blockholders as a determinant of firm value, when taken as a moderator of the contestability effect. It shows that the legal context and company-specific characteristics play a crucial moderating role for contestability. In contrast to previous research, we find that contestability plays a less relevant role in family firms. We also find that this last result does not vary significantly with the identity of the remaining elements of the coalition. Also, our study suggests that contestability is less important in companies led by majority shareholders.

Business Development Opportunities and Market Entry Challenges in Latin America

Abstract
This chapter describes the market entry process of Portuguese small and mediumsized enterprise (SME) into the Brazilian. This chapter explores an under-researched strand in the studies of internationalization of SMEs, namely how trust and commitment leveraged the relationship orientation of the Portuguese SME in entering into the Brazilian market. Through a Case Study the chapter explores the concept of relationship orientation, trust and commitment to analyze how a Portuguese SME managed to turn around a difficult situation transforming its associates in business partners and prevented a process of desinternationalization. © 2016 by IGI Global.

Abstract
Due to today's business environment demands organizations need to create teams to perform work in projects, with quality, within time and budget. Therefore, teams play a very important role in the organizational development, by creating conditions that enable to overcome difficulties and to promote the improvement of the organizational overall performance. Hence the relevance of studying the project teams resilience, identifying the actions that can influence the project development and its final outcomes. The resilience of a team can be defined as the team's ability to deal with problems, overcome obstacles, or resist the pressure of adverse situations, without entering into rupture. This research, focused on team resilience, firstly involved a literature review, followed by brainstorming sessions, resulting in a preliminary list of useful actions to improve project team resilience. Then, a survey was administered in order to identify the most useful actions perceived from the identified list. Completed questionnaires were received from 115 team members of information technologies/information systems projects being developed in an academic setting. By identifying the most useful actions perceived, as those having the highest potential for increasing project team resilience, practitioners and organizations can set their priorities towards improving team resilience. The results showed that the top ten list of useful actions identified is composed by very well-known and recognized actions, such as the promotion of collaboration and solidarity among project team members, and the recognition, appreciation and use of the talents and competencies of each team member. Ambient Assisted Living

Abstract
Population aging brings increased social problems. Solutions for this new reality must be devised. Providing care services at home may benefit patients, health service providers, and social security systems and needs to be seen as a possible solution for those social problems. By maintaining the patient at home, in his or her own environment, care services costs can be diminished and, at the same time, the comfort and well-being of the person in need are significantly increased. To pursue this goal, we explore the advantages that ambient assisted living can bring to people in a home environment, focusing on the problems of health care services at home. Specifically, in this chapter, we present a framework focused on the monitoring and assistance of the elderly that are living alone, focusing on those elderly with memory disabilities. We believe that this approach will enable the challenges that the current trend of population aging poses to be tackled. © 2015 by Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.

Abstract
The evaluation is a determining factor in developing successful strategies for learning. In a classroom context, the teacher can observe the behavior of students and identify different ways to facilitate the assessment without inducing stress, avoiding the negative consequences of this on the result of learning. However, in learning environments eLearning direct contact is impossible and, therefore, there should be alternative ways to provide both detection and prevention of stress during the evaluation. It is therefore appropriate stress analysis and identification of strategies for solving problems arising from its appearance. In this work, a stress analysis module for use is proposed for the online student assessment, which is capable of indicating to the teaching moments more propitious time to intervene and the contents that cause greater difficulties. In this way, the teacher can effectively assist students who need it most.
