Abstract
Companies today live in a context of cycles in which there is an increasingly competitive and shorter life cycles for products and services, such as requiring a deep knowledge of customers and suppliers. The electronic business is one way to structure all the processes of the organization supported by Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) that allow a direct connection with customers, business partners, employees and its own management. This paper is a reflection on whether the e-business maturity models will fit the new reality of electronic business, in which the social networks are turning into a "social business". © 2011 AISTI.

Proceedings of the 5th Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies, CISTI 2010

Abstract
The Internet is extremely important for the publishing of information and for the interaction between the society elements. Due to this, it's essential that the web presents itself accessible to all, including those with any kind of disability. An accessible web may help the handicapped citizens interact with the society in a more active way, including the electronic public procurement platforms. This paper presents a study made with a universe of 8 Portuguese certified platforms (by CEGER), using a W3C referenced tool (TotalValidator), and presents some statistical results according to the Portuguese Classification of the Enterprises Activities.

Abstract
The use of the web is quickly spreading to the majority of the society. In many countries the use of the web in government services, education and training, commerce, news, citizenship, health and entertainment is significantly increasing. The web is extremely important for the dissemination of information and the interaction between the various society elements. Due to this, it's essential that the web presents itself accessible to all, including those with any kind of disability. An accessible web may help the handicapped citizens in their interaction with the society. With this in mind, an evaluation of the accessibility levels of the Portuguese websites is, essential, for an assumption on the availability of these websites to all disabled citizens.

Abstract
Economic activities are part of everyday life since always. The banking sector has a large dimension that exists for a long time, doing a major contribution to economic growth in Portugal. In this new millennium the advent of Internet has had a significant impact on the banking service that is traditionally offered by banks to customers. Abstract
Maturity models describe the maturing of the use of information systems in organizations. They are a useful framework to describe an organization's current position as well as a range of possible position in the future in terms of their e-business maturity. The relationship between Information Technology (IT) and e-business maturity is examined. We used a model of c-business maturity, Stages Of Growth for e-business (SOGe) model, to put an organization in a maturity stage. In our survey we presented a set of technologies and we asked to enterprises which of them are implemented, in development, planned or inexistent. We concluded that there is a strongly correlation between IT implementation and the e-business maturity.

Abstract
Due to data-driven application nature and its increasing complexity, developing its user interface can be a repetitive and time-consuming activity. Consequently, developers tend to focus more on the user interface aspects and less on business related code. In this paper, we present an alternative approach to graphical user interface development for data-driven applications, where the key concept is the generation of concrete graphical user interface from a source code based model. The model includes the original source code metadata and non-intrusive declarative language extensions that describes the user interface structure. Some Object Relational Mapping tools already use a similar concept to handle interoperability between the data layer and the business layer. Our approach applies the same concept to handle business and presentation layer interoperability. Also, concrete user interface implementation will be delegated to specialized software packages, developed by external entities, that provide complete graphical user interfaces services to the application. When applying our approach, we expect faster graphical user interface development, allowing developers to refocus on the source code and concentrate their efforts on application core logic.
