As robots become smarter, more autonomous, valuable for various purposes, and increasingly interactive with humans, novel and unforeseen challenges emerge. Making complex robotic systems easier to program and use, endowing robots with capabilities to operate in complex and dynamic environments or allowing autonomous robots to work in areas shared with humans are examples of problems that
need new tools and paradigms.
In an event characterised by the connection between academia and industry, the major role of cutting-edge technologies in Control and Dynamic Systems was highlighted, particularly in the fields of Robust Control and Linear Parameter-Varying Systems, across multiple areas of science and society.

A (r)evolution is underway in the agricultural, viticulture, and forestry sectors, driven by technology developed by INESC TEC. On June 26, the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD) hosted Synergy Day by INESC TEC 2025 – Robotics and IoT for Smart Precision Viticulture, an event that showcased how robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT) are helping make the European precision viticulture sector more multidisciplinary, innovative, and efficient.

Data collected by the Institute’s research team indicates increased soil moisture and helps distinguish natural variations from potential nuclear threats.
