Abstract
The real Cloud and Ubiquitous Manufacturing systems require effectiveness and permanent availability of resources, their capacity and scalability. One of the most important problems for applications management over cloud based platforms, which are expected to support efficient scalability and resources coordination following SaaS implementation model, is their interoperability. Even application dashboards need to easily incorporate those new applications, their interoperability still remains a big problem to override. So, the possibility to expand these dashboards with efficiently integrated communicational cloud based services (cloudlets) represents a relevant added value as well as contributes to solving the interoperability problem. Following the architecture for integration of enriched existing cloud services, as instances of manufacturing resources, this paper: a) proposes a cloud based web platform to support dashboard integrating communicational services, and b) describe an experimentation to sustain the theory that the effective and efficient interoperability, especially in dynamic environments, could be achieved only with human intervention. THEMATIC CLUBS AND THE SUPREMACY OF NETWORK EXTERNALITIES

JOURNAL OF PUBLIC ECONOMIC THEORY

Abstract
We explore the issue of minorities' survival in the presence of positive network externalities. We rely on a simple example of thematic clubs to illustrate why and how such survival problems might appear, first considering the case of simple-network effects (fully anonymous externalities) and then the case of cross-network effects (type-dependent externalities). In both cases, the analysis is framed as a simple noncooperative game with a continuum of players and binary action sets. There is a unique and interior Nash equilibrium under mild network effects and two corner equilibria under strong network effects, with one club driven out. A utilitarian planner would accentuate the clustering effects of network externalities, and call for the disappearance of the minority club more often than the noncooperative solution. A simple myopic learning algorithm capturing the progression of network lock-in effects is studied.

COMPUTATIONAL SCIENCE AND ITS APPLICATIONS, PART VI - ICCSA 2014

Abstract
This paper presents a tool to filter/configure the test cases generated within the Model-Based Testing project PBGT. The models are written in a Domain Specific Language called PARADIGM and are composed by User Interface Test Patterns (UITP) describing the testing goals. To generate test cases, the tester has to provide test input data for each UITP in the model. After that, it is possible to generate test cases. However, without a filter/configuration of the test case generation algorithm, the number of test cases can be so huge that becomes unfeasible. So, this paper presents an approach to define parameters for the test case generation in order to generate a feasible number of test cases. The approach is evaluated by comparing the different test strategies and measuring the performance of the modeling tool against a capture-replay tool used for web testing.

Abstract
An interferometric Fabry-Perot cavity based on hollow-core ring photonic crystal fiber combined with a silicone diaphragm is proposed for low pressure sensing. The sensor exhibits a sensitivity of 0.086 nm/mmHg for a pressure range between 0 and 337.5 mmHg. These values are in the range of physiological pressures, such as intravascular pressure. Abstract
This paper presents ES-SQL, an embedded tool for visually constructing queries over spreadsheets. This tool provides an expressive query environment which has knowledge on the business logic of spreadsheets, and by this knowledge it assists the user in defining the intended queries.

SIMULATION, MODELING, AND PROGRAMMING FOR AUTONOMOUS ROBOTS (SIMPAR 2014)

Abstract
Field experiments with a team of heterogeneous robots require human and hardware resources which cannot be implemented in a straightforward manner. Therefore, simulation environments are viewed by the robotic community as a powerful tool that can be used as an intermediate step to evaluate and validate the developments prior to their integration in real robots. This paper evaluates a novel multi-robot heterogeneous cooperative perception framework based on monocular measurements under the MORSE robotic simulation environment. The simulations are performed in an outdoor environment using a team of Micro Aerial Vehicles (MAV) and an Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) performing distributed cooperative perception based on monocular measurements. The goal is to estimate the 3D target position.
