Abstract
Cognitive theorists believe that the learning process involves the integration of events into actives organizational structures termed schemata. Schemata serve a number of functions in human cognition: schemata regulates attention, organizes searches of the environment and “fill the gaps” during information processing. Thus, the mind uses schemata to selectively organize and processes all the information individuals receive from the world. This perspective fits e.g. in teaching blind and deaf people alongside of children with special education needs. The aim of the research developed until the moment was to prove that the full integration of the concept of teaching and learning in the light of cognitive theories. © Springer International Publishing AG 2018.

Abstract
The present paper presents the conceptual mechanical design of a Standing Frame for children with mental deficiency. Those children deal with great difficulties in maintaining a correct biped posture, hindering certain system organs to work in its fullness. Thus, the target goal of this project is to provide a correct biped posture to the child with mental deficiency. To achieve this goal there were defined the main goals that the standing frame should fulfil: safety, comfort, adaptability, attractiveness and accessibility. After the definition of certain functions and specifications the final solution comes up. For this solution it was selected metallic materials (structure of the Standing Frame) and polymeric materials (supports). It was also needed to select a lifting system, to lift the child from the seat to the biped position. The best solution found was an hydraulic, linear and single acting actuator. In order to ecologically guide the project it was chosen materials with fabrication and recycling processes that allow the final solution to be the most ecologic as possible. (C) 2018 The Authors. Abstract
Health information is highly sought on the Web by users that naturally have different levels of expertise in the topics they search for. Assisting users with query formulation is important when users are searching for topics about which they have little knowledge or familiarity. To assist users with health query formulation, we developed a query suggestion system that provides alternative queries combining Portuguese and English language with lay and medico-scientific terminology. Here, we analyze how this system affects the precision of search sessions. Results show that a system providing these suggestions tends to perform better than a system without them. On specific groups of users, clicking on suggestions has positive effects on precision while using them as sources of new terms has the opposite effect. This suggests that a personalized suggestion system might have a good impact on precision.

Abstract
A control strategy Is proposed In this paper based on considering the upper and lower's arms modulation functions of a MMC in HVDC applications. The designed modulation-functions-based controller is consisted of the modulation index and phase that are accurately evaluated according to ac-side voltage, MMC voltage and current components in a-b-c reference frame. Two main contributions of the proposed control strategy over the other existing control techniques are robust against the MMC parameter variations and simplicity operation that causes MMC to perform the ac/DC conversion for the HVDC applications. The simulation results verify the ability of the proposed control strategy at approaching to the stable performance of MMC under various operating conditions. © 2018 IEEE.
