Abstract
Digital Marketing is a decisive advantage for the business strategy of the hotel sector. Besides being a powerful tool for implementing tourism marketing actions and policies also enables the monitoring and measurement of results; helping to keep them at a level of effectiveness and success or to improve them. Digital Marketing can also be a strong ally in combating unforeseen economic crises in the hotel sector, as is the case of the current situation that we are experiencing caused by COVID-19. In this article, the Digital Marketing strategy implemented by HSL from the point of view of the digital consumer will be analyzed, through an exploratory analysis of its website, online booking platforms, social networks and how these digital tools have helped HSL throughout the pandemic. Abstract
International trade, enabled by rapid technological advances, has had a profound effect on the way employees work and communicate in a borderless, virtual environment. Within this context, classroom collaboration through online virtual teams can be an effective strategy to enhance intercultural and employability skills. Research in this area advocates that using digital media to connect students with international classrooms is an easy and efficient way to develop intercultural competence. In this paper we describe and present the results of one such initiative. The authors have designed and implemented virtual and experiential intercultural communications assignments across four countries: Germany, Portugal, Scotland, and the United States. By creating virtual teams and then simulating a real-world team project, we have been able to study how students work with, and react to, teammates from other cultures. We explored students' views and opinions on the expected outcomes of their international experience in virtual teams and the potential impact of online intercultural learning experiences on their future employability. The findings suggest that collaborative online international learning (COIL) can help to develop the kind of soft skills that employers value and need in the globalized workplace. © This work is licensed under a Creative Commons License CC BY-NC-ND 4.0

Abstract
The characterization of wave transformation processes in the nearshore is of paramount importance when it comes to assessing storm and flooding impacts, sediment transportation and deposition, harbors safety or design of coastal protective structures. This study analyzes nonlinear wave parameters on Ofir sandy beach. This beach is located along the northwest Portuguese coast which is a highly energetic coast exposed to waves generated far away in the Atlantic Ocean. Despite the existence of rocky outcrops in the nearshore and intertidal zones at the study site, reducing the wave energy that reaches the beach, the study site exhibits pronounced erosive processes. Field observations of six near-bottom pressure records collected at the intertidal zone help to characterize the evolution of wave nonlinearities which are directly associated with sediment transport mechanisms. Data results show that there is an interrelation between the characteristics of the waves and the local morphology. It is also possible to ascertain, more clearly, the level of asymmetry present in the waves propagated at different depths, contributing to a better understanding of the local morpho-hydrodynamics.

Abstract
Achieving a new generation of enhanced sensors requires the development of structures that result from the fusion of different concepts and effects. In this paper, we combine a special strain sensing structure with an optical sensitivity magnification, through harmonics of the Vernier effect. The recently demonstrated harmonics of the Vernier effect result from increasing the optical path length (OPL) of one of two interferometers by multiple times the OPL of the other interferometer. The effect generates higher magnification factors, proportional to the order of the harmonics. The sensing structure is demonstrated for strain and temperature discrimination, allowing compensation for temperature fluctuations. We explore the complex case of the optical Vernier effect in series, where both interferometers are used as sensing interferometers (no reference interferometer is used). Our results also suggest that the magnification enhancement provided by harmonics of the Vernier effect for a configuration in series is the same as for a configuration in parallel: the magnification factor increases proportionally to the order of the harmonics.

Abstract
Multiple factors can affect presence in virtual environments, such as the number of human senses engaged in a given experience or the extent to which the virtual experience is credible. The purpose of the present work is to study how the inclusion of credible multisensory stimuli affects the sense of presence, namely, through the use of wind, passive haptics, vibration, and scent. Our sample consisted of 37 participants (27 men and 10 women) whose ages ranged from 17 to 44 years old and were mostly students. The participants were divided randomly into 3 groups: Control Scenario (visual and auditory - N = 12), Passive Haptic Scenario (visual, auditory, and passive haptic - N = 13) and Multisensory Scenario (visual, auditory, wind, passive haptic, vibration, and scent - N = 12). The results indicated a significant increase in the involvement subscale when all multisensory stimuli were delivered. We found a trend where the use of passive haptics by itself has a positive impact on presence, which should be the subject of further work.
