Hpc AlliaNce for Applications and supercoMputing Innovation: the Europe - Japan collaboration

Supercomputers and high-performance computing (HPC) applications represent the forefront of digital technology and computing. They offer immense computing power essential for research and various processes. The EU-funded HANAMI project, recognising the potential of HPC and supercomputers, aims to unite a collaborative consortium comprising European and Japanese research organisations with a focus on HPC. Through this collaboration, research centres can expedite the development, design and optimisation of applications with unprecedented speed and efficiency for use across vital sectors such as medicine, environmental science, physics and other scientific disciplines. This collaboration will facilitate the exchange of technologies between Europe and Japan, thereby advancing AI, HPC and other critical technologies.
