EULAC FOR ENERGY TRANSITION: RESEARCH INFRASTRUCTURES COOPERATION FOR ENERGY TRANSITION BETWEEN EUROPE AND LATINAMERICAN AND THE CARIBBEAN COUNTRIES
EULAC ENERGYTRAN strengthens cooperation between research infrastructures in the European Union and Latin America and the Caribbean to address the common challenge of achieving a clean, sustainable and just energy transition. The project combines technological, environmental and social perspectives, promoting the exchange, generation and transfer of knowledge between researchers and institutions from both regions. Its activities address areas including renewable hydrogen, lithium value chains, solar energy, environmental sustainability, open science and the social and territorial impacts of decarbonisation. Through scientific mobility, joint research, training, digital tools, collaborative platforms and dialogue with policymakers and other stakeholders, ENERGYTRAN aims to reinforce research-infrastructure capacities and generate knowledge supporting public policies and regulatory frameworks for climate neutrality and a socially just energy transition.
