About

I am the Assistant Coordinator at SYSTEM - Centre for Industrial & Systems Engineering and Management since January 2026, following a professional journey of more than 20 years marked by institutional knowledge, team coordination and a strong commitment to continuous improvement.

My professional career started in 2005, as an Assistant, supporting research centres and institutional service teams, namely CESE, CITE and other services, where I progressively expanded my responsibilities beyond administrative support into operational coordination, team articulation and process improvement. Over the years, I became deeply involved in the day-to-day dynamics of research and innovation environments, developing a broad understanding of organisational processes and institutional operations.

Throughout this journey, I collaborated in several national and international projects and initiatives in INESC TEC, including the UTEN Portugal Network, INESC TEC’s Brazil Office and INESC P&D Brazil but also at FEUP, supporting the MIT Portugal Program (2007-2009). These experiences strengthened my expertise in project and team management, institutional relations, event organisation, travel coordination and operational planning, while also consolidating a collaborative, people-oriented and solution-driven approach to work.

Since 2016, alongside my role as an Assistant, I have coordinated the administrative assistants’ team, supporting its growth and development through closer team alignment, knowledge sharing and the optimisation of internal practices and workflows. This role represented an important step in consolidating my leadership and coordination skills, contributing to more efficient and collaborative ways of working across teams.

I hold a degree in Languages and Secretarial Studies—with a specialization in Assisting Management from ISCAP (2005) and have since complemented my academic background with specialised training in areas such as Time Management, Project Management, Business Protocol and Public Relations, Leadership and Team Management, Data Protection, Immigration Law, Emotional Intelligence and Stress Management.
