Physical Engineering
Work description
The objective of this work is the development of optofluidic solutions fabricated by femtosecond laser direct writing. Integrated optofluidic devices are used for the characterization of cells and other suspended particles and/or for optical trapping. The fabrication process involves the creation of optical components, such as waveguides and lenses, as well as three-dimensional micromachining through erosion in aqueous solutions (FLICE – Femtosecond Laser Induced Chemical Etching).
