Work description
- Support the modelling of a Decision Support System to improve decision-making regarding the design of last-mile parcel delivery policies; - Develop a parcel delivery simulation module integrating traditional simulation techniques and Machine Learning models; - Design the system architecture, design algorithms for integrating machine learning and generative AI models with a focus on algorithms with a low computational footprint, develop system interfaces, conduct usability tests, and document the system to be developed. - Write scientific articles; - Present scientific papers at events; - Write the scholarship activity report.
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor's and Master's degree in computer engineering, industrial management engineering, electrical engineering or related field;
Minimum profile required
- Average grade higher than 12 in both Bachelor's and Master's degrees;- 1 article submitted for presentation at a conference or publication in a journal.
Preference factors
- Enrolled in or attending a doctoral programme - Experience in using transport and logistics simulation models. - Experience in developing and/or using ML approaches with low computational footprint.
