Artificial Intelligence; Multi-Agent Systems

Work description

The scholarship is in the field of Artificial Intelligence, with a focus on studying approaches that facilitate the integration of tools typically used in industry, such as simulation, planning and/or optimisation tools and models, with new approaches to industrial AI, namely those based on agents and Multi-Agent Systems. The main objective is to contribute to the creation of approaches for the planning, coordination and orchestration of specialised agents in specific tasks in an industrial environment. Specifically, the main activities to be carried out by the scholarship holder are: - To analyse the state of the art in the field of multi-agent system coordination; - To contribute to the specification of a set of specialised agents in high-value and highly specific industrial tasks; - Specify and implement a coordinating/orchestrating agent capable of defining execution plans involving specialised agents in order to respond to complex intentions; - Collaborate in development and validation in a real-world scenario; - Collaborate in the writing of technical-scientific documents and the scholarship activity report.
