Abstract
This article presents some results of the analysis of two practical cases of informational production considered priorities in the context of trustworthy digital repository structuration in a Portuguese public administration institution. This is an Information Science (IS) study in the field of Information Management (IM), assuming the function of information preservation as an IM variable under a systemic perspective.It addresses, on the one hand, the adoption of formats normalization as a preservation strategy based on the adoption of PDF/A, a work that has been carried out in recent years in the institution, and on the other hand, tasks and specifications that should be developed regarding the management and preservation of informational production communicated via email. It is characterized PDF format, variants and application contexts, and it is defined and described how works the technology of email, the need and importance to be considered in IM processes. An approach that involves the development of an email management policy, the email management process throughout its life cycle, assuming its preservation in a perspective of continuous access and use, only possible if it's effectively integrated into the management processes of organizational information system, from the stage of production / reception / capture. It presents different perspectives, good practices and reference guidelines and tools.

Innovation has a cost. It is often the case that museums trying to innovate, simply cannot afford what it takes to build truly memorable exhibitions. Lack of human resources and high-tech equipment makes it hard to create quality contents that could be shown to the general public. Nevertheless, universities' museums are usually embedded in an environment that has the potential to provide all the tools and human resources required. The only thing needed is to establish a proper strategy and an interaction facilitator platform - U.OpenLab - which enables creating, building and sharing knowledge about the museums' collections and the academic population. This will make it easier to distribute the aforementioned knowledge to the general public, in a truly sustainable, systematic, integrated and articulated manner. In this paper we are going to present the University of Porto (U.Porto) OpenLab prototype that is being built as the stepping stone of this project, providing students with learning in a project environment.

Abstract
The paper introduces the Active and Permanent Information System Management Model (MGSI-AP). It results from an investigation that discussed concepts and perspectives about Information Management, positioning it as a transversal and applied area within Information Science, focused on info communicational flow, in a complex institutional context the Portuguese public University and related information services. The University is assumed in a complex and systemic double facet, between the formal organized system and the loosely coupled combinatory system. Here is presented one of the operationalization axes of the performed research and model. It highlights the close connection between Information Management and the area of studies of Information Production, framed by a theoretical-methodological proposal and operational modeling, which converge to an Information Management definition and the design of a Matrix of Components and Variables under analysis.
