E-JOURNAL OF BUSINESS EDUCATION & SCHOLARSHIP OF TEACHING

Abstract
Students can explore playful environments offered by serious games to simulate challenges in the process of launching and managing a start-up, which can improve their strategic planning and management skills. In this sense, this paper identifies and explores the benefits and limitations of the use of serious games in entrepreneurship education. Subsequently, it is discussed how these elements are approached in the context of nine entrepreneurship serious games. The findings indicate that all considered games create an active learning environment, although it is not clear how they can be integrated into a didactical system and how the students' performance could be evaluated and assessed. Additionally, there were also globally identified accessibility, interoperability and usability issues.

IEEE Engineering Management Review

Abstract
COVID-19 has caused dramatic effects on the world economy, business activities, and people. But digitization is also helping many companies to adapt and overcome the current situation caused by COVID-19. The growth in the use of technology in the daily lives of people and companies to face this exceptional situation is an evidence of the digital acceleration process. This exploratory study analyzes the impact of digital transformation processes in three business areas: labor and social relations, marketing and sales, and technology. The impact of digitalization is expected to be transversal to each area and will encourage the emergence of new digital products and services based on the principle of flexibility. Additionally, new ways of working will foster the demand for new talent regardless of people's geographical location. Moreover, cybersecurity and privacy will become two key elements that will support the integrated development of the Internet of Things technology solutions, artificial intelligence, big data, and robotics. Authors
Almeida, F;

Journal of Business Ecosystems

Abstract
This study intends to explore the phenomenon of intrapreneurship and the relevance of the innovation processes in mature organizations by conducting three case studies on traditional industry sectors such as the textile, metalworking, and electronic components sector. The aim is to explore the role of entrepreneurial teams in such companies, to understand the inhibiting factors of innovation, and to find the essential conditions for these organizations to continuously innovate and promote intrapreneurship within their organizations. The findings reveal that several factors constrain employee participation in this process, including lack of qualifications levels, limited resources, corporate bureaucracy, and reduced time and budget. In the conditions necessary to support the innovation process emerge the support given by the management team, the qualification of individuals and teams, and the existence of an organizational culture that promotes communication, collaboration, and tolerance to risk.

Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies in Education

Abstract
The case study is a widely used method in qualitative research. Although defining the case study can be simple, it is complex to develop its strategy. Furthermore, it is still often not considered to be a sufficiently robust research strategy in the education field because it does not offer well-defined and use well-structured protocols. One of the most frequent criticisms associated with the case study approach is its low validity and reliability. In this sense, this study aims to concisely explore the main difficulties inherent to the process of developing a case study, also attempting to suggest some practices that can increase its reliability, construct validity, internal and external validity.

MANAGEMENT & MARKETING-CHALLENGES FOR THE KNOWLEDGE SOCIETY

Abstract
This study aims to explore the role of social networks in the internationalisation of startups. For this purpose, the social network LinkedIn is used, and two case studies of Portuguese technological startups are employed. The findings indicate that social networks can contribute to the acceleration of the internationalisation process and decrease their costs. Their relevance is greater in the initial phase of the internationalisation process. However, its relevance is limited in more advanced phases of this process. LinkedIn can be used by startups to obtain several benefits such as brand awareness, identification of new opportunities, customer feedback, among others. The results of this study are essentially useful in a practical dimension for companies that plan to start or improve their internationalisation process sustained on social networks.
