Abstract
Within the framework of the entrepreneurial university (EU), this study aims to test its multidimensional domain and therefore to confirm the positive contribution of EU factors to perceived regional competitiveness in Portugal. Data were collected from ten Portuguese public universities (PPUs) through a self-employed questionnaire. First- and second-order confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) were performed through factor and multiple linear regression analyses. The proposed EU construct was confirmed, thus proving the adequacy of scales for the PPUs context. Overall, the main findings show that EU factors—‘internal processes’, ‘entrepreneurial supporting measures’, ‘international collaboration’, and ‘funding strategy’—make a positive contribution to the perception of regional competitiveness. ‘Entrepreneurial supporting measures’ is the EU factor which has the biggest impact on perceived regional competitiveness and ‘organisational design’ is the only EU factor that does not reveal any impact on it. This contribution demonstrates to policy makers that PPUs are not merely cost centres but knowledge spillovers that can have a positive influence on regional competitiveness. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2020.

EXPERT SYSTEMS
Abstract
At a time when communication, new media, and digitalization are transversal to the whole of society, private health care organizations have the possibility of making their business processes evolve. The objective is thus to seize the benefits associated to the active use of patients' electronic health records (EHRs) as the basis for personalized health care. In order to initially validate the health care sector acceptance of a 360 degrees health care information system (HIS), focused on collecting patients' data to create the necessary knowledge for delivering personalized health care procedures and initiatives, a focus group involving a set of health-related professionals was performed. Despite recognizing the immense possibilities associated to EHR and its direct incorporation on a 360 degrees HIS, the referred professionals still highlighted their concerns relative to the maintenance of adequate security and privacy levels. With this in mind, a proposal for a 360 degrees HIS model is presented, and its main functional blocks are described with a focus on triggering patient/customer loyalty.

TRENDS AND APPLICATIONS IN SOFTWARE ENGINEERING
Abstract
Of all the technologies born in the 20th century the software industry is the sole one that has kept a large dependency on human physical effort in order to produce the necessary code for an Information Technology system to perform. This paper analyses that evolution in view of today's state-of-the-art regarding automatic code generation based on model definitions for critical business purposes. The social, financial and technological benefits will be addressed as they are disruptive and will affect different levels of society as we know it. Several testimonies were also sought regarding the technology described herein and how it may affect us in our day-to-day lives. We conclude that the software industry is in the midst of a major revolution - which has arrived late in comparison to other industries related to technology and which have decreased the reliance on human labour some time ago.

Abstract
Nowadays wearable devices are very popular. The reason for that is the sudden reduction in pricing and the increase in functionalities. Healthcare services have been greatly benefiting from the emergence of these devices since they can collect vital signs and help healthcare professionals to easily monitor patients. Medical wellness, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and monitoring services are the main focus of Healthcare applications. Some companies have already invested in this market and we present some of them and their strategies. Furthermore, we also conducted a group interview with Altice Labs in order to better understand the critical points and challenges they encountered while developing and maintaining their service. With the purpose of comprehending users’ receptiveness to mHealth systems (mobile health systems which users wear - wearables) and their opinion about sharing data, we also created a questionnaire (which had 114 valid responses). Based on the research done we propose a different approach. In our product and service concept solution, which we share herein, we consider people of all ages to be targets for the product/service and, beyond that, we consider the use of machine learning techniques to extract knowledge from the information gathered. Finally, we discuss the advantages and drawbacks of this kind of system, showing our critical point of view. © 2020, The Editor(s) (if applicable) and The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Abstract
Virtual reality technologies have grown in complexity and functionality, increasing their relevance in various sectors of activity. Applying these innovations to tourism is advantageous for the organisations, the tourists and even the territories. They can provide multisensory immersivity, simulate actions and movements in real-time, enriching reality using interactive virtual objects. Thus, captivating visitors and showing territories from richer and livelier perspectives. This study describes a review of the adoption of virtual reality technology at the organisational level. In order to adapt the literature review to the tourism topic, the process of analysis of the literature was carried out with a constant concern to analyse research that studied the topic. Assuming the need to further develop the work done and to obtain a confirmation on the contribution resulting from the bibliographic review, a focus group was developed, which allowed several specialists to discuss collaboratively and interactively the research project topics without having to be in face-to-face contact. The results of this study allow not only to acknowledge the relevance of virtual reality for tourism but also to understand how the existing literature and experts are aligned with the identification of opportunities for disruptive development of solutions that trigger tourism destinations and organisational development.
