On 12 June, under the scope of the seminar “ETMA 4.0 – Ferramenta de planeamento avançado APS” (in English “ETMA 4.0 – APS Advanced Planning Tool”), António Correia Alves, collaborator of INESC TEC’s Centre for Enterprise Systems Engineering (CESE) presented the work developed at the ETMA Metal Parts company.

On 28 May, the FAMEST project - Footwear, Advanced Materials, Equipment’s and Software Technologies – was presented for the first time at INESC TEC in a consortium that has the collaboration of INESC TEC through the Centre for Enterprise Systems Engineering (CESE).

A group of managers from Sonae Arauco visited INESC TEC on 16 April. The main goal was to gather information on the work developed at the Institute and to cross-check it with the needs of the company in order to define future opportunities for collaboration.

Under the approach to the Industry sector, INESC TEC was present on the first edition of 360 TECH INDUSTRY – International Trade Fair of Industry 4.0, Robotics, Automation and Composites, which took place between 16 and 18 May at Exponor, in Porto.

“Desafios de implementação do MES na Amorim Cork Composites” (in English “Challenges of the implementation of MES at Amorim Cork Composites”) was the title of the presentation made by engineer Rui Rebelo, collaborator of INESC TEC's Centre for Enterprise Systems Engineering (CESE), which took place at the event “Indústria 4.0 - A importância do MES em Sistemas de Gestão” (in English “Industry 4.0 - The importance of MES in Management Systems”) in the Amorim Cork Composites company.
