The Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science (INESC TEC) became a member of the International Data Spaces Association (IDSA), an association that brings together different companies and research institutions, and whose main objective is to promote science and research, towards the development and creation of secure architectures for the future exchange, sharing and processing of industrial data.

INESC TEC, together with INEGI, organised the Advanced Program in Industry 4.0, which aimed to empower companies from the national industrial sector, helping them address the challenges of digital transformation brought by the ongoing fourth industrial revolution. This initiative took place between October 8 and November 26, at the premises of INEGI and INESC TEC, in Porto.

This annual award acknowledges the best PhD theses carried out in Portugal and Latin America.
