Ethical and legal aspects of cybersecurity in health

Abstract
Background: With the emergence of eHealth and mHealth, the use of mental health apps has increased significantly as an accessible and convenient approach as an adjunct to promoting well-being and mental health. There are several apps available that can assist with mental health monitoring and management, each with specific features to meet different needs. The intersection of mental health and cyber technology presents a number of critical legal and ethical issues. As mental health monitoring apps and devices become more integrated into clinical practice, cybersecurity takes on paramount importance. Objective: To address the ethical and legal aspects of health cybersecurity related to applications in mental health monitoring and management. Methods: We carried out a thematic synthesis of the best scientific evidence. Results: These tools have the potential to significantly improve access to and quality of care for users with mental health conditions, but they also raise substantial concerns about privacy and informed consent.  Cybersecurity in mental health is not only a matter of technology, but also of human rights. The protection of sensitive mental health information is critical, and legal and ethical measures to safeguard this information must be implemented in a robust and transparent manner. Conclusion: the use of information technologies and mobile devices is now part of the clinical reality and its future perspectives. It is important to mention that while these apps can be helpful for self-care and mental well-being management, they are not a substitute for the advice and support of a qualified mental health professional (psychologist or psychiatrist). As we move into the digital age, it is imperative that mental health monitoring and management apps are developed and used responsibly, ensuring the safety, dignity, and well-being of users.

First record of intraspecific cleaning behavior by the threatened Leuciscidae Squalius alburnoides (Steindachner, 1866) at the Guadiana River basin (Portugal)

Abstract
Squalius alburnoides (Steindachner, 1866) is an endemic threatened species from the Iberian Peninsula. Here, we report the first observations of intraspecific cleaning behavior in isolated summer pools in the Guadiana River Basin (Portugal). We found that focal S. alburnoides solicited cleaning by adopting an immobile tail-stand position known as posing, which immediately signaled a response to a few conspecifics that approached and inspect them. Our study expands the list of cleanerfish species in freshwaters, giving emphasis to the importance of mutual positive behavior within an endangered species, particularly when facing seasonal disturbance.

Energy and Circular Economy: Nexus beyond Concepts

Abstract
Energy and materials are increasingly important in industrialized countries, and they impact the economy, sustainability, and people's future. The purpose of this work was to study the relationship between energy and the circular economy using methods such as Pearson's correlation and a principal component analysis. Thus, 12 strong correlations were found, with 5 of them between the following relevant variables from two different subjects: the correlations of the raw material consumption, the domestic material consumption, and the material import dependency with the final energy consumption in transport (0.81, 0.92, and 0.81); the correlation of the circular material use rate with the final energy consumption in households (0.70); and the correlation of the material import dependency with the final energy consumption in industry (0.89). The time series forecast was only conclusive for the waste generated, showing that it will increase in the next 10 years.

Study on fs-laser machining of optical waveguides and cavities in ULE® glass

Abstract
The potential of ultrafast laser machining for the design of integrated optical devices in ULE (R) glass, a material known for its low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE), is addressed. This was done through laser direct writing and characterization of optical waveguides and through the fabrication of 3D cavities inside the glass by following laser irradiation with chemical etching. Type I optical waveguides were produced and their internal loss mechanisms at 1550 nm were studied. Coupling losses lower than 0.2 dB cm-1 were obtained within a wide processing window. However, propagation loss lower than 4.2-4.3 dB cm-1 could not be realized, unlike in other glasses, due to laser-induced photodarkening. Selective-induced etching was observed over a large processing window and found to be maximum when irradiating the glass with a fs-laser beam linearly polarised orthogonally to the scanning direction, akin to what is observed in fused silica laser-machined microfluidic channels. In fact, the etching selectivity and surface roughness of laser-machined ULE (R) glass was found to be similar to that of fused silica, allowing some of the already reported microfluidic and optofluidic devices to be replicated in this low CTE glass. An example of a 3D cavity with planar-spherically convex interfaces is given. Due to the thermal properties of ULE (R) glass, these cavities can be employed as interferometers for wavelength and/or temperature referencing.
