Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) has gained significant evolution in recent years that, if properly harnessed, may meet or exceed expectations in a wide range of application fields. However, because Machine Learning (ML) models have a black-box structure, end users frequently seek explanations for the predictions made by these learning models. Through tools, approaches, and algorithms, Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) gives descriptions of black-box models to better understand the models' behaviour and underlying decision-making mechanisms. The AI development in companies enables them to participate in Industry 4.0. The need to inform users of transparent algorithms has given rise to the research field of XAI. This paper provides a brief overview and introduction to the subject of XAI while highlighting why this topic is generating more and more attention in many sectors, such as industry.

Abstract
There is limited research focused on achieving optimal torque control performance of Switched Reluctance Generators (SRGs). The majority of existing studies tend to favor voltage or power control strategies. However, a significant drawback of SRGs is their susceptibility to high torque ripple. In power generation systems, torque ripple implicates fluctuations in the generated power of the generator. Moreover, high torque ripple can lead to mechanical vibrations and noise in the powertrain, impacting the overall system performance. In this paper, a Torque Sharing Function (TSF) with Indirect Instantaneous Torque Control (IITC) for SRG applied to Wind Energy Conversion Systems (WECS) is proposed to minimize torque ripple. The proposed method adjusts the shared reference torque function between the phases based on instantaneous torque, rather than the existing TSF methods formulated with a mathematical expression. Additionally, this paper introduces an innovative speed control scheme for SRG drive using a Fuzzy Super-Twisting Sliding Mode Command (FSTSMC) method. Notably robust against parameter uncertainties and payload disturbances, the proposed scheme ensures finite-time convergence even in the presence of external disturbances, while effectively reducing chattering. To assess the effectiveness of the proposed methods, comprehensive comparisons are made with traditional control techniques, including Proportional-Integral (PI), Integral Sliding Mode Control (ISMC), and Super-Twisting Sliding Mode Control (STSMC). The simulation results, obtained using MATLAB (R)/SIMULINK (R) under various speeds and mechanical torque conditions, demonstrate the superior performance and robustness of the proposed approaches. This study presents a thorough experimental analysis of a 250 W four-phase 8/6 SRG. The generator was connected to a DC resistive load, and the analysis focuses on assessing its performance and operational characteristics across different rotational speeds. The primary objective is to validate and confirm the efficacy of the SRG under varying conditions.

Artificial Intelligence Approaches to Sustainable Accounting
Abstract
This chapter aims to contribute to the understanding of how artificial intelligence (AI) technologies can promote increased business revenues, cost reductions, and enhanced customer experience, as well as society's well-being in a sustainable way. However, these AI benefits also come with risks and challenges concerning organizations, the environment, customers, and society, which need further investigation. This chapter also examines and discusses how AI can either enable or inhibit the delivery of the goals recognized in the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Business Models Development. In this chapter, the authors conduct a bibliometric review of the emerging literature on artificial intelligence (AI) technolo¬gies implications on sustainable business models (SBM), in the perspective of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and investigate research spanning the areas of AI, and SDGs within the economic group. The authors examine an effective sample of 69 publications from 49 different journals, 225 different institutions, and 47 different countries. On the basis of the bibliometric analysis, this study selected the most significant published sources and examined the changes that have occurred in the conceptual framework of AI and SBM in light of SDGs research. This chapter makes some significant contributions to the literature by presenting a detailed bibliometric analysis of the research on the impacts of AI on SBM, enhancing the understanding of the knowledge structure of this research topic and helping to identify key knowledge gaps and future challenges. © 2024, IGI Global. Abstract
Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) algorithms are a key component in enabling autonomous navigation for robotic systems. This study presents a comprehensive assessment of state-of-the-art SLAM algorithms, focusing exclusively on those with Robot Operating System (ROS) support. The study aims to provide insights into the computational performance of these algorithms by leveraging the benchmark results reported in their respective studies. Each algorithm's performance metrics, as reported in their benchmark studies, are analyzed and compared. This comparative analysis not only highlights the strengths and weaknesses of individual algorithms but also provides a broader understanding of their applicability across diverse robotic platforms and environments. Overall, this study contributes to the advancement of SLAM research by offering a comparative evaluation tailored to ROS-supported algorithms. The findings serve as a valuable resource to make informed decisions regarding the selection and implementation of SLAM solutions in real-world applications.
