Abstract
EMPOWER SSE is a Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT, Portugal) and Department of Science & Technology (DST, India), financed research project that aims to use the Linked Open Data Framework to empower the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) Agents. It is a collaborative project between India and Portugal that is focused on defining a Semantic Web framework to consolidate players of the informal sector, enabling a paradigm shift. The Indian economy can be categorized into two sectors: formal and informal. The informal sector economy differs from the formal as it is an unorganized sector and comprised of economic activities that are not covered by formal arrangements such as taxation, labor protections, minimum wage regulations, unemployment benefits, or documentation. The major economy in India depends on the skilled labor of this informal sector such e.g. daily labor, farmers, electricians, food production, and small-scale industries (Kalyani, 2016). The informal sector is mainly made of skilled people that follow their family job traditions, sometimes they are not even formally trained. This sector struggles with the lack of information, data sharing needs and interoperability issues across systems and organizational boundaries. In fact, this sector does not have any visibility to the society not having the possibility to do business as most of the agents of this sector do not reach the end of the chain. This blocks them from getting proper exposure and a better livelihood.

WASTES - SOLUTIONS, TREATMENTS AND OPPORTUNITIES II

Abstract
Industrial Symbiosis (IS) envisages a collaborative approach to resource efficiency, encouraging companies to recover, reprocess and reuse waste within the industrial network. Several challenges regarding the effective application of IS continue to limit a broader implementation of this area of Industrial Ecology. The MAESTRI project encompasses an Industrial Symbiosis approach within the scope of sustainable manufacturing for process industries that fosters the sharing of resources (energy, water, residues, etc.) between different processes of a single company or between multiple companies. The Industrial Symbiosis approach is integrated with Efficiency Framework in the so-called MAESTRI Total Efficiency Framework. Efficiency Framework is devoted to the combination of eco-efficiency (via ecoPROSYS) and the efficiency assessment (via MSM - Multi-Layer Stream Mapping). In this manuscript the benefit of the combination of the Efficiency Framework as an facilitator to a more effective application of Industrial Symbiosis, within or outside the company's boundaries, is explored.

Abstract
Due to the difficulty of building and making control tests in real robots, it is usual to first have a simulated model that provides a good approach of a real robot's behaviour. The importance of a good control system in execution of a planned trajectory inspired this work, whose purpose is to design a control system for a quadruped robot and test its performance.

Abstract
Aging is a natural process inherent in being human. During the aging process a person's physical and mental condition will degrade, imposing limitations on their life, which can have a great impact on their well-being. Although they are common to all humans, the consequences of aging can be aggravated by the decline in social relations and contact with family and friends. It is therefore of the utmost importance to maintain these relationships throughout life. In this sense, we intend to develop a system to support these people, allowing them to overcome their limitations, promoting and reinforcing the bonds between the user and the elements of his family and group of friends, using the technology. In this article we discuss the prototyping of a support system for the elderly to combat the lack of interaction between these individuals and their social group. With the use of prototyping it s intended a previous validation of the concept and functionalities of this system. The user is placed within the development process and, in this way, it is possible to evaluate the Human-Machine Interaction component and to detect possible problems so that they can be solved in a timely manner. This is an iterative process in which the system is constantly evaluated and readjusted until it is validated.
