Abstract
Hollow microsphere fiber sensors are Fabry-Perot interferometers ( FPI) that can be used for lateral loading, temperature, and refractive index sensing. In this work, graphene oxide (GO) is explored as a tunable platform for enhancing the spectral properties of hollow microsphere fiber sensors. GO offers similar mechanical and optical properties as graphene, with the advantage of a wider range of deposition methods and a lower cost. The influence of multilayer coatings of polyethylenimine (PEI) and GO, achieved with the layer-by-layer technique, on the reflectivity of the outer surface, and hence, on the spectrum of the FPI for maximum of 30 bilayers was studied. The obtained results revealed a change of the microsphere outer surface reflectivity and also of visibility of the reflected spectrum when varying the number of bilayers. A maximum signal amplitude of 3.9 dB was attained for the 13th bilayer, allowing to conclude that PEI/GO multilayer coatings can be used for enhancing desired properties of the three-wave FPI for different sensing applications.

COMPUTER SUPPORTED QUALITATIVE RESEARCH: NEW TRENDS ON QUALITATIVE RESEARCH

Abstract
The Computer Assisted Qualitative Data Analysis Software Packages (CAQDAS) can be understood as a means of assisting the researcher in the treatment, organization and analysis of qualitative data for developing research or projects that deal with qualitative data. This type of software stands out and are sought after because they allow the qualitative analysis to be done in diverse formats (audio, video, image, text), levels of collaborative work (individual, two people working at the same time or more than two), and with distinct possibilities of organizing the data surveyed. This article aims to present an integrative review about the most relevant CAQDAS in Ibero-American, highlighting the potential of (i) data organization, (ii) variety of supports, (iii) mobility, and (iv) interaction with social networks.

Abstract
The current requirements for open data in the EU are increasing the awareness of researchers with respect to data management and data publication. Metadata is essential in research data management, namely on data discovery and reuse. Current practices tend to either leave metadata definition to researchers, or to assign their creation to curators. The former typically results in ad-hoc descriptors, while the latter follows standards but lacks specificity. In this exploratory study, we adopt a researcher-curator collaborative approach in five data publication cases, involving researchers in data description and discussing the use of both generic and domain-oriented metadata. The study shows that researchers working on familiar datasets can contribute effectively to the definition of metadata models, in addition to the actual metadata creation. The cases also provide preliminary evidence of cross-disciplinary descriptor use. Moreover, the interaction with curators highlights the advantages of data management, making researchers more open to participate in the corresponding tasks.

Abstract
In this paper it is presented a line follower educational mobile robot performance robustness increase. The Robotic Day line Follower Competition was used as a Benchmark to test the proposed approach. The applied robot is based on an Arduino, which is applied in the low level control, while the high level control loop is carried out by an RPI running an object pascal application. The described robot was prototyped in order to have a competitive participation in the Robotic Day Line Follower 2017 competition, and improved for performance robustness increase in order to participate in the 2018 competition. It was prototyped with an RPI, taking advantage of its capabilities, allowing the use of higher performance sensors, when compared with the most common standard approaches based on a single 8 bit RISC micro-controller, having as disadvantage the inevitable robot size increase, which compromises in certain situations the robot maneuverability and increases the power consumption. The robot is equipped with DC Motors, the chosen line follower sensor is the picamera and for the obstacle detection, a time of flight sensor was applied.
