Abstract
Multi-stage manufacturing, typical in important industrial sectors, is inherently a complex process. The application of the zero defect manufacturing (ZDM) philosophy, together with recent technological advances in cyber-physical systems (CPS), presents significant challenges and opportunities for the implementation of new methodologies towards the continuous system improvement. This paper introduces the main principles of a multi-agent CPS aiming the application of ZDM in multi-stage production systems, which is being developed under the EU H2020 GO0D MAN project. In particular, this paper describes the MAS architecture that allows the distributed data collection and the balancing of the data analysis for monitoring and adaptation among cloud and edge layers, to enable the earlier detection of process and product variability, and the generation of new optimized knowledge by correlating the aggregated data. © 2018, Springer International Publishing AG.

Abstract
This paper presents the design of a robust pole placement controller for linear and time invariant systems described by models whose parameters are unknown but, with known bounds, using only plant, input, and output signals. The main objective is to locate the closed-loop poles within a region specified by an interval characteristic polynomial, chosen based on performance specifications and whose stability is guaranteed by Kharitonov’s theorem. The procedure to find a closed interval for each controller parameter is formulated us a nonlinear programming (NLP) problem and switching laws based on the variable structure adaptive pole placement control (VS-APPC) are used to estimate the unknown plant, parameters. This innovative strategy gives a fast, and non-oscillatory transient,, smooth control signal and robustness to large model parameter variations. Moreover, the constraints imposed by the interval controller meet the closed-loop performance requirements. Simulation results are presented for second order nonminimum phase plants, to illustrate the properties of the proposed technique. © 2017 ICIC International.

Abstract
This document covers the questions for students that participated in a mobility program, that are short-term students and full time students from different countries. With the central question being why mobility students choose Kauno Kolegija. It is the main goal to find out their opinion about the school starting with the question, what was their motivation to study in Kauno Kolegija. 53 students participated in the survey, being the majority of them Erasmus students. The data was obtained by a survey that took the form of an online questionnaire. This survey includes answers from EU and Non-EU students and it is based in a quantitative survey, which is after studied using graphical analysis program SPSS. The major objective of this research is to help Kauno Kolegija with the best information and results to provide the responsible people enough material to improve and increase the incoming students flow into the school from mobility studies and internships. Since the Erasmus program started the flow of students has been going up and down, having students from Turkey as 40% of the income, Kauno Kolegija will benefit with the results by understanding why East Europe and nearby countries has more incoming students than West Europe and be able to fight this unbalance.

Abstract
This paper presents a review of the main characteristics of cloud computing, where they are exposed, their main components and ways of use. In addition to the technological review that is done, is also carried out. To understand how cloud computing can lead to a powerful ally of SMEs in the context of organizational competitiveness in a world where the role of information systems for a long time proved decisive, it is a reflection that the SMEs, whose core business is not technology, need to be carried out.

Abstract
Today any OEM automotive industry that wants a status of a world-class organization has to follow a proper supplier quality management based on the worldwide recognized international standards. With this, the customer within a supply chain should have the sureness that the company has supplier capabilities in place to provide a service that consistently meets its needs and expectations. Although some of this Supplier Quality Management Systems (SQMS) are deeply integrated and used inside of an organization, sometimes they are implemented using inappropriate or limited tools, making the work of employees harder and acting often as entropy sources in those systems. Having the right tools to handle Inspections as well as Nonconformance, Complaint, Corrective Action and Concession processes is key to successfully track the supplier performance. This paper presents a platform to support a SQMS, that fits the technical specification ISO/TS 16949 requirements.
