I was born in Recife (Brazil) and since my childhood, I’ve always been interested in renewable energies. I've graduated in Energy Engineering specialized in renewable resources at Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE). It was through the University that I had my first experience abroad, a 1-year internship at Universidad de Vigo, in Spain. Through my academic journey, I was mostly involved with projects focused on the technological analysis and energy potential of solar, wind and biomass resources, specializing myself in waste-to-energy area. On a professional level, I had the opportunity to experience a range of areas: waste management, green buildings and corporate sustainability.
In 2015, I've started my journey in the start-up world, getting engaged in different business acceleration programs and even participating as one of the finalist projects at Campus Party Recife, one of the biggest technology events in LATAM. While in Brazil, I have also managed other different projects related to sustainability and education.
Between 2017 and 2018, I worked in the Business Ignition Programme (BIP), promoted in partnership with Porto Business School. There, I've strengthened my skills in developing business models and planning exploitation for tech-based projects, tightening the relation between investigations and the market needs.
I'm currently completing my Master in Economics and Environment Management at Faculty of Economics of University of Porto, focused on the topic of Energy Markets and the integration of renewable sources into the electric grid. In INESC TEC, I works in the INTEGRID H2020, where my interests are in: renewable energies, smart grids, business development and risk analysis.
