Emre Yildiz is from Kocaeli, Turkey where he studied at the Software Department of Sabanci Anatolian Technical High School. After high school, he got his B.Sc. degree in Management Information System (MIS) from Bogazici University, Istanbul. In 2013, he was granted Shanghai Local Government Scholarship and started his education at Shanghai Normal University to learn Chinese. Afterwards, Emre was admitted to the Management Science and Engineering (MSE) program at Tsinghua University, Beijing. He got his M.Sc. degree with his thesis titled “Web Based Healthcare Knowledge Management System Design with UML” in 2016. In the same year, he moved to Dubai to work as a Business Development Specialist for a global airport construction company. In 2018, Emre became a PhD researcher in the Smart Factories Project developed by Aalborg University, Vestas Wind Systems A/S, and Manufacturing Academy of Denmark (MADE). He is conducting his research on “Systematic Design and Implementation of a Virtual Factory: An Integrated Approach to Building Smart Factories” at Vestas Wind Systems A/S.
