Quantitative methods for decision support and Operations Research
[Closed]
Work description
The work will consist of the development of optimisation methods for two-dimensional cutting problems with uncertainty. This goal should be met by generating solutions that are more robust regarding the variability induced by uncertainty and, when replanning is needed, by guaranteeing that the changes in the already defined cutting plans are minimised: robust planning and optimised replanning.
