Work description
The research workplan involves the development of new computational intelligence algorithms for different use cases in the energy sector, namely renewable energy forecasting, smart grid monitoring and integration of renewable energy in the electricity market. Aspects such as data privacy and monetization will be the focus of R&D activities, with a view to scientific production oriented to international journals and conferences. Additionally, the researcher is expected to participate in the design and development of distributed and data-driven optimization models for active electricity consumption management and heterogeneous information processing in smart electricity grids.
Academic Qualifications
PhD degree in Applied Mathematics or related scientific area, and holders of a scientific and professional curriculum showing a relevant profile for the activity to be developed can apply for the tender
Minimum profile required
Doctorates with reduced post-doctoral experience or without scientific curriculum after the PhD compatible with the category of junior researcher. A minimum of 2 publications in Q1 journals from the sustainable energy systems area.
Preference factors
Participation in research and development projects in renewable energy forecasting, forecasting quality assessment and analysis of electricity market price formation. Experience in applying statistical learning models to use cases in the energy sector.
