The work aims to study and develop optical sensors based on Fabry-Perot cavities. These cavities will be used as reference sensors and should allow a resolution of the order of microkelvin to be obtained. These sensors can be fiber or integrated optics. Since the cavities will be fabricated by direct writing with fs laser machining, candidates should have experience writing waveguides and machining 3 dimensional Structures by femtosecond laser direct writing.
PhD in Physics, Engineering Physics or similar
Minimum profile required
Experience in fabrication of waveguides by direct writing with femtosecond laser and their characterization. Experience in 3D micromachining by femtosecond exposure and wet-etching.
Participation, possibly including positions of responsibility, in research and development projects in Physics and Engineering Physics.
